1. Seattle becomes first city in US to ban caste discrimination: Seattle created history by becoming the first US city to pass an explicit ban on caste-based discrimination.

2. Kerala High Court publish Judgement in Regional Language: The Kerala High Court published two of its most recent decisions in Malayalam, making it the first high court in the nation to do so.

3. The Chief of the Naval Staff Adm R Harikumar visited INS Nireekshak at Kochi where he interacted  Cairo in Egypt. The 14-year-old Tilottama Sen won the second bronze for India.the salvage operations.

4. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi has been appointed as the new Drug Controller General of India (DCGI), Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO).

9. Kotak Mahindra Bank went live with ‘Kotak fyn’, an integrated portal developed to offer comprehensive digital banking.

10. Abu Dhabi defence firm inked MOU with India’s HAL: Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL), an aerospace company in India, and EDGE, the top defence company in the UAE, inked a Memorandum of Understanding.

11. SBI permits real-time Bhim payments with Singapore: SBI announced a cooperation with PayNow for cross-border payments between India and Singapore utilising the UPI platform.

                    INTRODUCTION : The s- block elements of the periodic table are those in which the last electron enters  into the outermost s-orbital. As the s-orbital can accommodate only two electrons, in two group (1 & 2) belong to the s-block of the periodic table. Group 1 of the periodic table consists of the elements : lithium (L i), sodium (Na), potassium (K), rubidium (R b), caesium (C s) and francium (F r). They are collectively known as alkali metals. These are called because they forms hydroxides on reaction with water which are strongly alkaline in nature.                             Charge Charge is that property of an object by virtue of which it apply electrostatic force of interaction on other objects.
